Abstract 3 Series 2
After my first two experiments didn’t turn out that well I decided on another approach. To create panels on the found image by painting the gutters as I went.
I am interested in the idea that comics hide and reveal a story as you read it. I wanted to apply this to a single found image and reinterprete or reformat it.
You can treat the comic as one picture or treat it as a whole collection of panels and build up a story from that.

This rules. I could see this technique being used to great effect as part of a narrative, to show either that a given scene is made up of the impressions of many different characters, or that it is being perceived by one character whose mind is fragmenting.

I totally agree with Isaac on this one – what makes it so great is that it fractures an image into multiple “perspectives” so that the audience is made aware of the multiplicity of vision and perception.
A really really great work!!!
