Abstract 21 Series 3 ‘Lines’
This is the last comic in series 3 Abstracts. Again this is another experiment in jumbled panels, like the previous post Abstract 12c. Rather than a rigorous set of 2×3 panels.
Edit: sorry about the lateness of the post, there was a schedule error.

This is amazing David – I love it. The panels become more and more like “windows” onto another world, another dimension. Like tears in the fabric of spacetime.
This is something I thought of – I never used to like Mondrian paintings. But then I saw a photo of Mondrian in his studio and there were so many of his paintings I suddenly understood them – they were like windows onto a universe in which everything was comprised of straight black lines and blocks of colour. These “window” works remind me of this experience.

Cheers Richard, I really like it as well. I think its a great comic to end the Series 3 Abstracts.
Of course that makes total sense! The De Stijl movement was hugely influential in architecture both in terms of theory and aesthetics. The Rietveld Schröder House is considered a classic piece of Architecture. So much so according to Wikipedia its now a world Heritage site.

During my degree as a project a group I was with had to make part of the interior of the Rietveld Schröder House.
