Four Colours 1 Series 4
I’ve been mulling over this idea for a couple of weeks now, after I was invited to submit a colour Abstract comic to Bristle 4.
It got me thinking about how I could bring colour into my abstract comics practice. I liked the idea of using a four colour ball point pen (a papermate 4ball) because of its mundane connotations.
I was inspired by drawings Richard Whyte has done using felt tip pens (for those outside of NZ a Marker Pen) and crayons.
As a medium it has a lovely immediacy and lightness to it and I’m rather pleased with how it turned out.
